A Day At The Human Race

Ray and I spent the morning yesterday photographing and celebrating the Volunteer Center's Human Race. This was the 37th year for the race it's the largest fundraiser in Sonoma County. It was a joy to be with over 200 nonprofits and participate in the joy and festivity.

The work on the new webpage is a creative project, and an opportunity to go through the archives and old photos. I am reminded that a little over then forty years have passed since High School days, with many changes....but constant in my life have been art, music and love. (In the upper left photo, I think I was around 16 years old, and the most recent photo is in the lower left). Life is a wondrous adventure..... Moment by moment. I live with a grateful heart.

After much procrastination, we are building our new web page: www.SilvaStudioArt! What a fun, but time consuming, creative project. At the same time we are updating
our Facebook page to reflect this new website.
I am reminded of the quote by Pable Picasso:
"Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working".

Ray and I spent a day volunteering our time to take head-shots for the Human Race 2018. All the earnings from the day were donated to the Human Race 2018. It was such a fun day. We made a lot of new friends for a wonderful cause!

a VISIT TO THE EGRET ROOKERY

Every year, over 200 Egrets arrive to nest. It an incredible gift to see them each season, from the first arrivals preparing the nests, through the births and dramas, and watching the young take their first test flights. It is an active colony with noisy, nest building, and includes Great Egrets, Cattle Egrets, Black Crown Night Egrets and Snowy Egrets.
